I have been selling Limited Edition Watermelon Prints and T-Shirts to raise cash for Gaza Formula Fund, a campaign that was started by Georgia, a mother in London, and Izz, a father in Gaza and is, against all odds, raising money to enable the sourcing and distribution of formula milk, medical supplies and drinking water across Gaza City and surrounding areas. The Israeli blockade have been preventing aid from entering Gaza and as a result the world is witnessing enforced mass starvation. There is stockpiled formula within Gaza, but it is not only incredibly difficult to source but it's $120 per tin. A team on the ground are managing to source and buy the formula saving many young lives in the process. For more information please visit Georgia’s Instagram.
The first two print editions have sold out raised over £10,000 through the Crowdfunder.

Watermelons became a symbol of Palestinian resistance as far back as 1980. Paintings by renowned Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour were being seized from exhibitions by Israeli authorities for featuring the Palestinian flag. An Israeli soldier told Mansour that he should paint flowers or a nude instead. The artist asked what would happen if he painted flowers that were red, white, black and green. The soldier replied that "Even if you paint a watermelon, we will confiscate it". After being randomly detained and questioned by the Israeli authorities he started to paint watermelons and they became a covert and enduring symbol of resilience and solidarity.
