Ian Bruce is a London based artist and award-winning animator specialising in painting and drawing. In dealing with any medium he feels a magnetic pull towards portraiture.
His work is equal parts playful and poignant, engaging deeply with his subject and their surroundings while developing a long lasting love affair with paint and the humble crayon.
He has painted many notable people in the world of art, fashion and comedy including the comedians Jimmy Carr, Barry Humphries and Jayde Adams as well as the fashion designer Ozwald Boateng to name but a few. His works are in the private collections of Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelson, Shaunette Renée Wilson and Elsa Hosk.
He regularly takes commissions and works from his home studio in Greenwich.
